21 HOOPS  will again host a Fall AAU program for boys entering grades 6-12 in Fall 2016. Teams will consist of at least 8 players and will participate in several one-day tournaments and practice 1-2 times per week. The schedule will consist of the following tournaments:

  • September 17 or 18 Southern Tier Showcase, Johnson City NY
  • September 24 Backcourt Hoops Shoot Out  Scranton PA
  • October 1 Fall Jam Fest, Syracuse NY or the Hardwood Challenge, Corning NY
  • October 8 JB HOOPS Fall Challenge, Scranton PA
  • October 9 21 HOOPS Electric City Fall Challenge, Scranton PA
  • October 15 or 16 TBA
  • Although pretty much set, 21 HOOPS does reserve the right to change schedule as necessary or due to changes in tournament.
  • Any player with a conflict and notifies the director two weeks prior to tournament is eligible for a discount.

Registration cost: $15 for new players or for returning players who need new reversible practice jersey. $5 for returning players.

Once placed on team there will be a fee of $200 due by the first tournament, unless you opt for 3 installment payment plan. Aside from payment plans, players or parents can work at our tournament on October 9 to defray costs.

Players receive the following:

  • Entry into 6 tournaments (Approximately 18 games)
  • 12 practices with a paid coach, plus 3 hour long skill sessions.
  • Reversible game jersey & shorts to use for the season. Practice jersey part of registration fee.
  • Competition against dedicated players throughout the Northeast region..

That's over 45 hours of basketball for less than $5/hour. If you are a Fall Sports athlete, we encourage you to discuss with your coach before deciding to participate. Practices are held after 6pm, so few conflicts should exist. However, tournament schedules are usually not available until the Wednesday before the tournament, so you may need to be flexible.

Practices will begin the week of August 28 and will complete the week of October 10.

Due to some issues with practice attendance the past couple seasons, players will be expected to be at all practices unless a conflict comes up. An example of conflicts: your school Fall sport team has a game scheduled and you cannot make it, you become seriously ill. While we value academics, homework is not a valid excuse. Manage your time! Very few teachers assign a test or "group project" the day before it's due. If for some reason you are not participating in a tournament on a weekend, you are expected at practice.  Every effort will be made to avoid conflicts, including discussions with area coaches about their preseason conditioning schedules. If you continue to miss practice, you will be dismissed without refund.
