MVBC Boys & Girls K-4 PROGRAM  Basketball

The MVBC K-4 Programs are designed for Boys & Girls in grades K-4 who reside in the Mountain View School District or any neighboring school district in the Susquehanna, Wyoming, Bradford, Lackawanna or Wayne County areas. 


The Sessions are divided into 2 sessions EARLY DRIBBLER for children in grades K-2nd. This program is an hour-long program introducing children to the basic concepts of basketball. The program runs Saturdays 9am to 10am in the Mountain View Elementary School Gym December 1-February 2nd with time off for Holiday vacation (December 22 & 29). The focus in on fundamentals.

The second session is our HOT SHOT for students in grades 2-4 and grades 4-6 (for those who don't want to participate in our Travel Program.The program runs Saturdays 10am to 11:30am in the Mountain View Elementary School Gym December 1-February 2nd with time off for Holiday vacation (December 22 & 29). The focus in on fundamentals plus we add elements of game play (3 on 3 building up to 5 on 5). Second graders we let you choose. More experienced players may want to do the  HOT SHOT because it is a step up from our EARLY DRIBBLER program, others may feel more comfortable in the earlier program. 

There fee to play this season is $35 ($10 Discount for 2 or more children, Payment plans, & scholarship opportunities also) in which players receive the following:

  • A MVBC reversible practice jersey. If you have a practice jersey in good condition you will receive a MVBC T-shirt.
  • Seven weekly sessions with a built in snow day session that becomes a free day if no cancellations happen.
  • An evaluation and drill packet at the completion of the program.
